Bipedal Walking robot controlled by Rduino using 4 servo motors having 2 degree of freedom per leg. Fully assembled and tested kit with easy to use electronics with computer software.
The robot is a 4 servo biped walker featuring two degrees of freedom (DOF) per leg. The robot can walk forward or backwards and turn in place left or right with variable speed. It can even do lots of Robo-One style acrobatic moves. Our combo kits include everything needed to make an operational robot, however the chassis and servos are available separately for those who want to use their own electronics.
The robot is made exclusively from black mild steel servo brackets. It also includes an electronics carrier plate.
We are providing the walker with VS2 servos. Due to the robot's light weight, these servos work well.
As with any walking robot, weight is a major concern. The best approach is to keep the weight to an absolute minimum. We are giving the 8.2 Volt LiON 2000mAh Battery Pack and the LiON Smart Charger.
Controlling the Biped
The robot is controlled using the custom Rduino Board with two option, Wireless (controlled through IR remote) or Autonomous (controlled by the onboard Rduino Board). We have several sample programs that allow the robot to roam and move around.
